The Mechanicville Housing Authority is currently accepting public housing waiting list applications for families and elderly/disabled individuals.Please Note: The waiting list for public housing is over two years long.This housing authority offers two communities for public housing:1. Davenport Estates has 40 units, 25 of those units are designated for senior/disabled individuals, the remaining 15 units are for families.2. John S. Moore is a family community, that has 120 units, ranging from 1-4 bedrooms.There are two ways to apply for public housing:1. Stop by the housing authority, to pick up an application, located at 1 Harris Avenue, Mechanicville, NY 12118, during normal office hours.2. Request an application be mailed to you by calling 518-664-9834, during normal office hours.Once the application has been completed, it can be mailed or hand delivered to the address listed above.
