This waiting list is for Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher rental housing assistance in Northampton County, Pennsylvania.

The Northampton County Housing Authority (NCHA) last accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from August 15, 2023, until August 18, 2023. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen. 

To apply while the waitlist was open, applicants were required to complete the online application.

The maximum income limits for each household size were as followed:

  • 1 Person $33,600 | 5 Persons $51,800
  • 2 Persons $38,400 | 6 Persons $55,650
  • 3 Persons $43,200 | 7 Person $59,500
  • 4 Persons $47,950 | 8 Persons $63,300

This waiting list had the following preferences:

  • Veterans and their surviving spouses will receive three preference points.
  • Applicants who live, work, or have been hired to work in Northampton County, Pennsylvania will receive two preference points.
  • Applicants who are unsubsidized will receive one preference point.
  • All other applicants will receive no preference points.

It was not known how applicants were placed on the waiting list.
