Venango County, Pennsylvania Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List: Open Indefinitely

The Oil City Housing Authority (OCHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open. This waiting list is open indefinitely.

There are three ways to apply:

  1. Download and print the application online here.
  2. Pick up an application at the OCHA office, located at 110 Moran St, Oil City, PA 16301.
  3. Call (814) 676-5764, Option 2, to request an application by mail.

Once the application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the OCHA office at the address above.

The following documents are required with the application: Social Security Card, birth certificate, and income/assets of all members of the household; and photo ID of all 18+ members of the household. Copies can be made at the OCHA office.

This waiting list has the following preference: Veteran.

Applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, after sorting preferences.

Heads of Household Characteristics

6% of households were headed by a person 24 years old or less, 52% were headed by a person 25 to 49 years old, 26% were headed by a person 51 to 60 years old, and 16% were headed by a person 62 years old or older. In addition, 1% of households were headed by a person 85 years old or older.

43% of households included children, 7% of which had two adults in the household. 35% of households with children have a female head of household. 70% of all households were headed by a female.

4% of all voucher households were headed by minorities with 2% of all heads of households being Black and 1% being Hispanic.
