This waiting list is for Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher rental housing assistance in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

The Sioux Falls Housing and Redevelopment Commission (SFHRC) is accepting Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from the earliest confirmed open date of August 29, 2023, until further notice.

There are three ways to apply while the waitlist is open:

  1. Pick up an application from the SFHRC office, located at 630 S. Minnesota Ave., Sioux Falls, SD 57104. 8:00 am until 5:00 pm CT. Monday - Friday.
  2. Call the SFHRC at (605) 332-0704 to request a paper application.
  3. Email sfhrc@siouxfallshousing.org to request an application.

Once the paper application has been completed, it must be:

  1. Hand delivered to the SFHRC office, located at the address mentioned above.

Preferences have not yet been confirmed.

It is not known how selected applicants will be placed on this waiting list.

The Sioux Falls Housing and Redevelopment Commission (SFHRC) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list applications for families that require a three or four bedroom unit.There is currently a four year wait to get into Public Housing.Please note: The SFHRC does not offer a Public Housing program for senior/disabled individuals or families that require a two bedroom unit.The SFHRC offers one public Housing community with 25 units for families, ranging in size from 3 to 4 bedrooms.To apply, visit the SFHRC to pick up an application, located at 630 S Minnesota Ave, # 200, Sioux Falls, SD 57104, from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm CDT, Monday-Friday.Once the application has been completed, it can be mailed or hand delivered to the address listed above. No documents are needed at this time.The SFHRC does not have a preference. Qualified applicants will be placed on the waiting list by the date and time the application is received.For more information, visit the SFHRC website, or call the SFHRC office at (605) 332-0704 during normal office hours.
