The Watertown Housing and Redevelopment Commission (WHRC) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open until further notice.Watertown, SD is about 100 miles north of Sioux Falls, SD.Please note: The current wait time for a voucher is approximately 10 months.There are two ways to apply:

  1. Visit the WHRC to pick up an application, located at 24 W Kemp Ave., Watertown, SD 57201, during normal office hours.
  2. Request to have an application mailed to you by calling 605-886-7731 during normal office hours.

Once the application has been completed, it can be mailed or hand delivered to the address listed above. Be sure to include these documents with your application: birth certificates, and Social Security cards for all members of the household.The WHRC does have a preference for: elderly, disabled, victim of domestic violence, and working families.For more information, the WHRC can be reached by calling 605-886-7731 during normal office hours.
