The Elizabethton Housing & Development Agency (EHDA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open. This waiting list is open indefinitely.
Elizabethton, TN is about 110 miles northeast of Knoxville, TN.
To apply, pick up an application at the EHDA office, located at 910 Pine Ridge Circle, Elizabethton, TN 37644. Applications are accepted on Thursdays 7:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. & 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. Applicants MUST apply in person. You must speak to the Section 8 Housing Specialist. Applications that are dropped off or mailed will not be accepted.
Once the application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the address above at the times above.
The following documentation is required of all members of the household: Proof of birth, Social Security Cards, Photo ID, proof of income. Further explanation of proof of income can be found here.
Applicants will receive a confirmation number upon submitting the pre-application. It is important to keep that number in a safe, easy to access place. It will be needed any time when referencing your pre-application with the housing authority.
Qualified applications will be placed on the waiting list by date and time of the pre-application submission.
