Parker County, Texas Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List: Open Indefinitely

The Weatherford Housing Authority (WHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program waiting list is currently open. This waiting list is open indefinitely.

There are three ways to apply:

  1. Download and print the pre-application online here.
  2. Pick up an application at the WHA office, located at 1125 West Oak Street, Weatherford, TX 76086, from 8:00 am until 12:30 pm; and 1:30 pm until 5:00 pm CT, Monday-Thursday.
  3. Send a letter with your address printed to the WHA office at the address above to request a pre-application be mailed to you.

Once the pre-application has been completed, it must be:

  1. Hand delivered to the WHA office at the address above, from 8:00 am until 12:30 pm; and 1:30 pm until 5:00 pm, on Tuesdays only.
  2. Faxed to the WHA office at (817) 594-8504.

This waiting list has the following preference: Residents of Parker County.

Heads of Household Characteristics

4% of households were headed by a person 24 years old or less, 41% were headed by a person 25 to 49 years old, 20% were headed by a person 51 to 60 years old, and 34% were headed by a person 62 years old or older. In addition, 1% of households were headed by a person 85 years old or older.

40% of households included children, 2% of which had two adults in the household. 37% of households with children have a female head of household. 81% of all households were headed by a female.

14% of all voucher households were headed by minorities with 6% of all heads of households being Black and -1% being Hispanic.
