This waiting list is for Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher rental housing assistance in Loudoun County, Virginia.

The Loudoun County Department of Housing and Community Development (LCDHCD) last accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from October 5, 2023, until further notice. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

There were two ways to apply while the waiting list was open:

  1. complete the online application.
  2. Print the paper application.

Once the application was completed, it was either:

  1. Mailed to the Loudoun County Department of Housing and Community Development.
  2. Dropped off in person to the Loudoun County Department of Housing and Community Development.

The Maximum income limit for each household size were as follows:

  • 1 Person $52,750 | 5 Persons $81,400
  • 2 Persons $60,300 | 6 Persons $87,450
  • 3 Persons $67,850 | 7 Persons $93,450
  • 4 Persons $75,350 | 8 Persons $99,500

This waiting list had the following preferences:

  • Applicants with a disability, older adults (over 62 and head of household), families or homeless (using the HUD definition*) persons who meet all other qualifications for the HCV program and who live or work in Loudoun County.
  • All applicants (families, individuals with a disability, and older adults) who meet all other qualifications for the HCV Program who live or work in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • All other eligible applicants (families, individuals with a disability, and older adults) who are residents of the United States.
  • Single applicants, who are not disabled and who live or work in Loudoun County or elsewhere in Virginia or the United States and who otherwise meet all other qualifications for the HCV Program.

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, weighed by order of preferences.
