The Anacortes Housing Authority is currently accepting public housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.This housing authority offers one apartment community with 49 one bedroom units dedicated to senior/disabled individuals, and scattered homes for families ranging in size from 2 to 4 bedrooms.There are two ways to apply for public housing:1. Visit the housing authority to pick up an application, located at 719 Q Ave., Anacortes, WA 98221, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday between the hours of 10am and 3pm.2. Download the application here, then print and complete.Once the application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the address listed above, during normal office hours. Be sure to bring originals of these documents with you: social security cards, and photo IDs for all adult household members.This housing authority does have a preference point system that may improve your spot on the waiting list: victims of domestic violence, elderly, or disabled.More information can be found by visiting the housing authority website at http://www.anacorteshousing.com/, or by calling 360-293-7831, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday between the hours of 10:00 am and 3:00 pm.
