How To Apply to the Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List
The Rhinelander Housing Authority (RHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open until further notice.
Rhinelander, WI is about 130 miles northwest of Green Bay, WI.
To apply, you must visit the RHA to submit a pre-application in person, located at 411 W Phillip Street, Rhinelander, WI 54501, from 8:00 am until 3:30 pm CT, Monday-Thursday; and from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm on Fridays.
No documents are needed at this time.
The RHA does not have a preference.
Qualified applicants will be placed on the waiting list by the date and time the pre-application is received.

Please note: The RHA does not offer a Public Housing program for families.
The RHA offers two Public Housing communities with 50 units for senior/disabled households, ranging in size from studios to 2 bedrooms.

According to the 2016 Q4 Picture of Subsidized Households database, the housing authority's voucher program has an annual turnover of 25% having issued approximately 4 vouchers in the past year. 4% of households were headed by a person 24 years old or less, 38% were headed by a person 25 to 49 years old, 29% were headed by a person 51 to 60 years old, and 29% were headed by a person 62 years old or older. In addition, -1% of households were headed by a person 85 years old or older.
