The Yolo County Housing (YCH) Senior Section 8 Project-Based Voucher waiting list for 1-Bedroom apartments at Eleanor Roosevelt Senior Apartments is currently open.

The YCH is accepting applications for this waiting list since at least November, 2020, until February 28, 2023 at 5:00 pm PT.

To apply during the opening period, complete the online application available in English here, in Spanish here, and in Russian here.

This waiting list may have any of the following preferences:

Live and/or work in Yolo County
Displaced by government action through no fault of your own
U.S. Veteran or the surviving spouse a U.S. Veteran
Household contains at least one adult member who has worked for six months or is currently receiving unemployment benefits
Head or spouse permanently disabled OR 62 years of age or older

It is not known how applicants will be placed on the waiting list.

Dave's Thoughts On Eleanor Roosevelt Circle

Because Eleanor Roosevelt Circle participates in HUD's HOME program for rental housing and the LIHTC program, at least some of the units in this property are set aside for households earning 60% or less of the AMI and rents are capped at the local FMR and in many cases much lower. For a HOME project of this size, some of the units are set aside for households at or below 50% AMI with a corresponding lower rent cap. As this property appears not to have a project-based subsidy or any other Federal assistance, you likely will have to pay your own rent, albeit, at a lower rent amount thanks to the HOME and LIHTC programs. Since this property participates in the HOME and LIHTC programs, the property is required to accept Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers.
