The Housing Authority of the Borough of Madison (HABM) Family Affordable Housing waiting list for 1, 2 and 3-Bedroom apartments at Scattered Sites is currently closed. Applications were last accepted on May 15, 2021; or until 400 applications were received. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

  • Scattered sites include:
    • 20-24 Belmont Ave/ 24-32 Community Place / 20-28 John Ave
    • 30 Loantaka Way / 70-72 Park Ave / 80 Park Ave

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

The maximum income limits for each household size were as follows:

  • 1 Person $54,950 | 5 Persons $84,800
  • 2 Persons $62,800 | 6 Persons $91,100
  • 3 Persons $70,650
  • 4 Persons $78,500

This waiting list had the following preferences:

  • Regional Preference for Essex, Morris, Union & Warren County residents

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.
