The Michigan City Housing Authority (MCHA) Home Ownership, MCHDI, and Business Activity waiting lists are currently closed. Each were last open in June 2017, until 150 applications were received for each program.

To apply, applicants were required to complete the online application.
This waiting list had the following preference: Michigan City resident.
Applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application was received and bedroom size, by order of preferences.
A notice will be sent to applicants within 60 days of applying with their waiting list number and estimated wait time.

Home Ownership, MCHDI, and Business Activity has preferences for: Live, Work, or Attend School Locally. Preferences are not required but Project-Based applicants that meet these criteria will be moved up the waiting list.
