The Orange County Housing Authority (OCHA) Local Rent Supplement Program (OC-LRSP) waiting list is currently closed. It was opened for the first time for one week in June, 2019. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.
Please note:
To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.
The waiting list had the following preferences: Homeless or at risk of homelessness, Elderly, Disabled, Domestic Violence survivor, and Displaced due to urgent community need (like a mobile home park closure).
Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.

Orange County, North Carolina Local Rent Supplement Program has preferences for: Elderly, Displaced by Natural Disaster, Victims of Domestic Violence, Live, Work, or Attend School Locally, Homeless, Displaced by Government Action, Disabled. Preferences are not required but Project-Based applicants that meet these criteria will be moved up the waiting list.
