The Southeast Kansas Community Action Program (SEK-CAP) Tenant Based Rental Assistance (TBRA) waiting list is currently closed. It was last open from February until April, 2019. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.
Please note: According to SEK-CAP, "Tenant Based Rental Assistance (TBRA) is a rental subsidy program designed to assist homeless individuals and families." Applicants must have a referral and a Homeless Certification completed by a local homeless service provider to be eligible.
To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.
There were no preferences.
Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by vulnerability as determined by an assessment completed by a local service provider.

Tenant Based Rental Assistance has preferences for: No Preferences. Preferences are not required but Project-Based applicants that meet these criteria will be moved up the waiting list.

If the head of household is a citizen or eligible immigrant, you can still qualify for HUD programs with a citizenship requirement.Sandra Lewis-Kidd says:
