The City of Mitchell Housing and Redevelopment Commission (CMHRC) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications for senior/disabled individuals.Please note: The CMHRC does not have a Public Housing program for families.The CMHRC offers one Public Housing Community with 112 units for senior/disabled individuals.There are two ways to apply:

  1. Visit the CMHRC to pick up a pre-application, located at 200 E 15th Avenue, Mitchell, SD 57301 during normal office hours.
  2. Request to have a pre-application mailed to you by calling (605) 996-6811 during normal office hours.
Once the pre-application has been completed, it can be mailed or hand delivered to the address listed above. No documents are needed at this time.The CMHRC does have a preference for: elderly, disabled, or handicapped individuals.For more information, call the CMHRC at (605) 996-6811 during normal office hours.
