The Hot Springs Housing Authority (HSHA) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications for families and senior/disabled households.The HSHA offers three Public Housing communities with 365 units for families and senior/disabled households, ranging in size from studios to 4 bedrooms.To apply, visit the HSHA office to pick up a pre-application, located at 1002 Illinois Street, Hot Springs, AR 71901, from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm CT, Monday-Friday.Please note: The pre-application that is on the website is the wrong application. You must visit the office for the updated pre-application.Once the pre-application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the address listed above, from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday.No documents are needed at this time.The HSHA does not have a preference. Applicants are placed on the waiting list by the date and time the pre-application is received.The current wait time for Public Housing is approximately 6 to 12 months.Important note: Applicants will receive a confirmation number when either applying, or being placed on the waiting list, depending on housing authority policy. It is important to keep that number in a safe, easy to access place. It will be needed any time when referencing your pre-application with the housing authority.If any of your application information changes from the time you submitted the original pre-application (such as contact information, income, and household members), inform the housing authority immediately. In the case that the office sends a notice that does not get returned, or if application information is out of date, your name may be terminated from the waiting list.
