OPEN: Housing Authority of the City of Lavonia is currently open and does not have a predetermined closing date.

The Lavonia Housing Authority (LHA) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.The LHA offers one Public Housing community with 180 units for families and senior/disabled individuals.There are two ways to apply:

1. Visit the LHA to pick up an application, located at 13032 Jones St., Lavonia, GA 30553, from 8:30 am until 4:45 pm, Monday-Friday.
2. Download an application here, then print and complete.

Once the application has been completed, it can be hand delivered to the address listed above, or mailed to PO Box 153, Lavonia, GA 30553.Be sure to include these documents with your application: birth certificates, social security cards, proof of all income, and photo IDs for all adult household members.The LHA does have a preference point system that may improve your spot on the waiting list: working at least 15 hours per week for the last 120 days, elderly, disabled, homeless, or veteran.More information can be found by visiting the LHA website at http://www.lavoniahousing.abbycarter.com/, or by calling 706-356-8224 during normal office hours.
