The Beacon Housing Authority is currently accepting public housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.This housing authority offers two apartment communities:1. Forrestal Heights offers 175 units, ranging from studio's to 5 bedrooms, for families and senior/disabled individuals2. Hamilton Fish Plaza offers 70 units, ranging from studio's to one bedrooms, this community is dedicated to senior/disabled individuals.There are two ways to apply for public housing:1. Request an application be emailed to you, by emailing: info@BeaconHousingAuthority.org.2. Visit the housing authority office to pick up an application, located at 1 Forrestal Heights, Beacon, NY 12508, Monday-Friday, between the hours of 8:00am until 3:30pm.Once the application has been completed, you must call the housing authority to schedule an interview to finish the application process, they can be reached at 845-831-1289, Monday-Friday, between the hours of 8:00am until 3:30pm. The City of Beacon Housing Authority has preferences for: Elderly, Displaced by Natural Disaster, Victims of Domestic Violence, Live, Work, or Attend School Locally, Veterans, Disabled.
