The Housing Authority of the City of Truth or Consequences (HACTC) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications for families and senior/disabled households.The HACTC offers one Public Housing community with 100 units for families and senior/disabled households.There are three ways to apply:

  1. Visit the HACTC to pick up a pre-application, located at 108 S. Cedar Street, Truth or Consequences, NM 87901, from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm; and 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm MT, Monday-Friday.
  2. Request to have a pre-application mailed to you by calling (575) 894-2244 Ext. 21, from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm; and 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday.
  3. Download a pre-application online here, then print and complete.
Once the pre-application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the address listed above, from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm; and 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday.Be sure to include these documents with the pre-application: Birth Certificates, Social Security Cards, proof of all income, photo IDs for all adult household members, and marriage license if applicable.The HACTC does have a preference for: Extremely low income households.For more information, visit the HACTC website, or call the office at (575) 894-2244 Ext. 21.
