Chaffee, Custer and Lake County, Colorado Section 8 Voucher Waiting List opened on August 19, 2019 and will close on March 17, 2023.

The Upper Arkansas Area Council of Governments (UAACOG) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list for Chaffee, Custer and Lake County is currently open. Applications are being accepted from August 19, 2019, until further notice.

There are two ways to apply during the opening period:

1. Pick up an application from the UAACOG lobby, Located at 3224 Independence Rd, Cañon City, CO 81212. Office hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm MT.
2. Call (719) 275-8350 to request an application by mail or email.

This waiting list has the following preferences:

• A disabled individual.
• A person experiencing homelessness.
• A victim of domestic violence.
• Non-elderly disabled person transitioning from nursing homes and other approved institutions into independent, community-based living.
• Elderly (62+) transitioning from approved institutions into independent, community based living.

Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, weighed by order of preferences.
