The Wichita Falls Housing Assistance Program (WFHAP) is accepting Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from the earliest confirmed date of October 26, 2021, until further notice.

Please note: "Applications are taken in office during office hours on Tuesdays only between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm CT. Applications submitted electronically or by mail will be reviewed for completion. If accepted,the application will be date/time stamped at the start of office hours on the next Tuesday .

There are two ways to apply while the waitlist is open,

  1. Complete the application in person on any Tuesday at the Housing/Section 8 Neighborhood Services office, located at 1800 7th St, Wichita Falls, TX 76301, from 8:00 am, until 5:00 pm CDT.
  2. Print the paper application.

Once the paper application has been completed, it must be either:

  1. Returned to the WHA office, address mentioned above. Any Tuesday from 8:00 am, until 5:00 pm.
  2. Mailed to the WHA office, address mentioned above.

Please note: "You must call the Housing Office and renew your application every 90 days to remain active on the waiting list. If you fail to call and renew your application, your name will be removed from the waiting list and you must re-apply."
