Moving into Tuesday, Affordable Housing Online has four waiting list updates for Section 8 Vouchers and Project-Based Housing! Our alert today is for low-income rental assistance in the Southeast, Midwest, and West Coast.

These waiting lists open today after being closed for application submissions for a period of time. Most of these openings are only for a limited time, so don't delay if an opportunity is right for you.
Boulder, Colorado Mainstream Voucher Waiting List
Boulder Housing Partners (BHP) is opening its Mainstream Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list for applications from June 25, 2024, at 9:00 am until June 26, 2024, at 4:00 pm MT.
To qualify, applicants must meet the Mainstream Voucher requirements as stated by BHP.
This opportunity is notable as it marks the first time the list has been open since its closure in November 2023. To be eligible, applicants must be under 62 years old and have a disability. The waiting list includes multiple preferences, affecting how applicants are prioritized.
The selection process will involve a random lottery, with the order influenced by these preferences. Those interested can apply online during the specified opening period.

Boulder County, Colorado Project-Based Waiting List
Staying near the local area, the Boulder County Housing Authority (BCHA) will also be accepting applications for its Project Based waiting list specifically for Willoughby Corner Phase 1 starting on the same day, June 25, 2024, but beginning slightly earlier at 8:30 am MT, and will remain open until further notice.
Willoughby Corner Phase 1 features various housing options including Búho Place for individuals 55 and older, and Sugar Beet House, Peach Tree House, Blue Stem Place, and Purple Prairie Place, which are open to all ages.
The process for selection and the list of preferences for this waiting list have not been confirmed yet. Those interested can apply online once the waitlist opens.

These waiting lists opened on a previous day, and are scheduled to close today. Even though a number of applications have already been submitted, it is still possible to qualify for these waiting lists.
Huntsville, Alabama Senior and Disabled Project-Based Voucher Waiting List
The Huntsville Housing Authority (HHA) is currently accepting applications for the Senior and Disabled Section 8 Project-Based Voucher waiting list, specifically for 1 and 2-bedroom apartments at Monrovia Flats. This application window is open for a brief period from June 24, 2024, at 8:00 am until June 25, 2024, at 5:00 pm CT. Monrovia Flats caters to seniors and individuals with disabilities offering 1 and 2-bedroom unit options.
The details regarding preferences for this waiting list have not been confirmed yet. The selection process for applicants will be organized by the date and time each application is received, and will be further organized based on preferences once they are established. Those interested in applying can do so online during the open period.

Medford, Oregon Rural Development Waiting List
The Housing Authority of Jackson County (HAJC) is currently accepting applications for its Rural Development waiting list for Orchard Home and Prescott Gardens Apartments. This waiting list will be open from June 24, 2024, through July 9, 2024. The properties involved are Orchard Home Apartments, and Prescott Gardens Apartments. Both sites are geared towards facilitating access to housing under the Rural Development program.
The process for selection of applicants will be conducted through a random lottery system, although the specific preferences for this waiting list have not been finalized yet. Applicants have several methods to submit their application while the waitlist is open: they can pick up a paper application from the HAJC office, print one from the HAJC website, and then either hand-deliver, mail, fax, or email the completed form to the HAJC office. This flexibility in application methods ensures that all interested parties can access the necessary resources to apply.
