Federal disaster assistance from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has been announced for survivors of severe storms in areas of Hawaii between December 5th and 10th of last year.
President Biden issued a major disaster declaration for the City and County of Honolulu and Maui County on February 15, 2022. After the storms caused flooding and landslides, the HUD assistance will help state and local recovery efforts.

Survivors of severe storms and straight-line winds in areas of Kansas on December 15, 2021 will receive disaster assistance from HUD to help state and local recovery efforts.
A major disaster declarations was issued by President Biden on February 17, 2022 for the Counties of Barton, Brown, Clay, Cloud, Doniphan, Edwards, Ellis, Ellsworth, Ford, Geary, Gove, Graham, Grant, Gray, Greeley, Hamilton, Haskell, Hodgeman, Jewell, Kearny, Lane, Lincoln, Logan, Marshall, Meade, Mitchell, Morris, Morton, Nemaha, Ness, Osborne, Ottawa, Pawnee, Republic, Rice, Riley, Rooks, Rush, Russell, Saline, Scott, Sheridan, Smith, Stafford, Stanton, Stevens, Sumner, Trego, Wabaunsee, Wallace, Washington, Wichita, and Wyandotte.
