There are six (6) major waiting lists for low-income housing that open across the country next week! Preparing early for an upcoming opening helps you be ready to apply when the waiting list opens, which may help you get housing over others.
Tip: Applicants do not need to live in the area to apply to most waiting lists.
Get ready to apply to the major housing waiting lists that are opening between April 22 and 26, 2024:
Hialeah, Florida Section 8 Voucher Waiting List
The Hialeah Housing Authority (HHA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from April 22, 2024 at 8:30 am, until April 29, 2024 at 11:59 pm ET. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in June, 2021.
Texas City, Texas Section 8 Voucher Waiting List
The Texas City Housing Authority (TCHA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from April 22, 2024 at 8:00 am, until April 26, 2024 at 12:00 pm CT.
St. Louis, Missouri Public Housing Waiting List
The St. Louis Housing Authority (SLHA) will accept Public Housing waiting list applications for 1-5 Bedroom Apartments at Multiple Properties from April 23, 2024 at 8:00 am, until April 29, 2024 at 11:59 pm CT.
Hartford, Connecticut Section 8 Voucher Waiting List
The Housing Authority of the City of Hartford (HACH) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from April 23, 2024 at 9:00 am, until April 26, 2024 at 4:30 pm ET.
Springfield, Florida Section 8 Voucher Waiting List
The Housing Authority of Springfield (HAS) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from April 24, 2024 at 8:00 am CT, until 250 applications have been accepted.
There are no new waiting list openings next Thursday.
Arlington, Texas Section 8 Voucher Waiting List
The Arlington Housing Authority (AHA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from April 26, 2024 at 9:00 am, until May 2, 2024 at 3:00 pm CT. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in February, 2023.
