Just days after the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) moratorium (or ban) on evictions expired, a new policy was issued by the public health agency yesterday.
The new moratorium covers renters in areas with many COVID-19 cases, which is about 80% of all counties in the country. The first CDC moratorium order that expired had included all areas of the U.S.
Renters will have this eviction protection until October 3, 2021.
