Just days after the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) moratorium (or ban) on evictions expired, a new policy was issued by the public health agency yesterday.
The new moratorium covers renters in areas with many COVID-19 cases, which is about 80% of all counties in the country. The first CDC moratorium order that expired had included all areas of the U.S.
Renters will have this eviction protection until October 3, 2021.
More information will be provided soon. An expanded article with more details is being written at the publishing of this story.
