Affordable Housing Online has announced five new Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list opening this week!

Boulder Housing Partners (BHP) will accept Mainstream Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from June 25, 2024 at 9:00 am, until June 26, 2024 at 4:00 pm MT. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in November, 2023.
To qualify: Applicants must be less than 62 years of age and a person with a disability.
The Western Piedmont Council of Governments Regional Housing Authority (RHA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from July 1, 2024 at 8:00 am ET, until further notice. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in August, 2022.
The Housing Authority of the County of DeKalb (HACD) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from June 3, 2024, until 2,500 applications are received.
The Rice County Housing and Redevelopment Authority (RCHRA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from June 3, 2024 at 8:00 am, until August 2, 2024 at 4:30 pm CT. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in June, 2022.
Please note: According to the HRA, "Applications will only be accepted from people who either live or work in Rice County. You will be required to provide proof of residency.
Belmont Housing Resources for WNY will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from June 10, 2024, until June 14, 2024.
The Selma Housing Authority (SHA) accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from May 3, 2024 at 8:00 am, until June 3, 2024 at 5:00 pm CT. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in August, 2023.
The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from June 3, 2024 at 12:00 am, until June 9, 2024 at 11:59 pm ET. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in December, 2009. After New York City Mayor Eric Adams made an an announcement in January that this waiting list will open, NYCHA has now given dates for the opening period.
The South Gate Housing Authority (SGHA) accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from May 27, 2024 at 8:00 am, until June 10, 2024 at 11:59 pm PT. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in February, 2016.
The DeLand Housing Authority (DHA) accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from June 11, 2024 at 9:00 am ET, until 1,000 applications have been received. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in January, 2022.
The City of Dubuque Housing and Community Development Department (CDHCDD) accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications for one day only on June 11, 2024 from 7:00 am, until 6:00 pm CT. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in May, 2024.
The McHenry County Housing Authority (MCHA) accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from June 5, 2024 at 8:30 am, until June 12, 2024 at 5:00 pm CT. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in February, 2018.
The Rochester Housing Authority (RHA) accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from May 23, 2024 at 12:00 pm, until June 14, 2024 at 4:00 pm ET. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in December, 2019.
This waiting list is for Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher rental housing assistance in Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans and Wayne County, New York.
The City of New Rochelle PHA (CNRPHA) accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from June 10, 2024, until June 17, 2024.
The Montclair Housing Authority (MHA) accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications beginning on June 20, 2024 at 8:30 am ET, until 225 applications have been received. This is the first time the waiting list has opened since 2007.
The City of Thibodaux Office of Housing and Community Development (HCD) accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from June 21, 2024 at 8:00 am CT, until 100 applications are accepted. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in May, 2023.
The Boise City/Ada County Housing Authority (BCACHA) accepts Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications on a limited basis from May 28, 2024 until June 27, 2024. This is the first time the waiting list has opened since it closed in February, 2022.
The Housing Authority of the City of High Point (HACHP) accepts Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from June 1, 2024 at 9:00 am, until September 30, 2024 at 5:00 pm ET. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in April, 2019.
The Santa Fe Civic Housing Authority (SFCHA) accepts Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications twice a month on Wednesdays from January 10, 2024 at 10:00 am, until December 4, 2024 at 4:00 pm MT.
The Chautauqua Opportunities Inc (COI) is accepting Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications for Chautauqua County from December 20, 2023, until December 27, 2024.
The North Charleston Housing Authority (NCHA) accepted Senior Section 8 Project Based Voucher waiting list applications for 1 and 2-Bedroom apartments for The Villas at Horizons Village from May 29, 2024 at 10:00 am CT, until June 11, 2024 at 12:00 am CT.
