Public Housing Waiting List: Open Indefinitely

The Lafayette Housing Authority (LHA) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications for families and senior/disabled households.

The LHA offers one Public Housing community with 102 units for families and senior/disabled households, ranging in size from 1 to 5 bedrooms.

To apply, visit the LHA office to pick up a pre-application, located at Bldg 1, 1st Avenue S.W., LaFayette, AL 36862, 8:00 am until 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday.

Once the pre-application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the address listed above, from 9:30 am until 3:30 pm, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays only.

Be sure to include these documents with the pre-application: Social Security Cards and birth certificates for all household members, proof of all income, and photo IDs for all adult household members.
