The Lonoke County Housing Authority (LCHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open until further notice.
There are three ways to apply:
Once the pre-application has been completed, it can be mailed to P.O Box 74, Carlisle, AR 72024, or hand delivered to the address listed above, from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm, Monday-Thursday.
Be sure to include these documents with the pre-application: Social Security Cards and birth certificates for all household members, photo IDs for all adult household members, marriage license (if applicable), divorce decree (if applicable), Declaration 214 status for each household member, Debts owed to Public Housing Agencies and Terminations - complete one for each adult household member, copy of permanent resident card (if applicable), proof of all income, child support printout, child care verification (if applicable), verification of student status (if applicable), if over age 62 or disabled verification of medical expenses that have been paid out of pocket, and certification by pregnant household member (if applicable).
The LCHA does have a working preference.

Important note: Applicants will receive a confirmation number when either applying, or being placed on the waiting list, depending on housing authority policy. It is important to keep that number in a safe, easy to access place. It will be needed any time when referencing your pre-application with the housing authority.
If any application information changes from the time the original was submitted (such as contact information, income, and household members), inform the housing authority immediately. In the case that the office sends a notice that does not get returned, or if application information is out of date, the applicant's name may be terminated from the waiting list. Please contact the housing authority to find out its policy on updating pre-application information.
