  • Persons with disabilities transitioning from a licensed nursing facility into a private rental.

The McHenry County Housing Authority (MCHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. Applications were last accepted from February 6, 2018, until February 13, 2018. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

This waiting list had the following preferences: Live or work in McHenry County.

2,000 applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences. 

The waiting list selection took place on March 15, 2018. Applicants placed on the waiting list had postcards mailed to them, and applicants not placed on the waiting list did not receive any notice.
