The New Bedford Housing Authority (NBHA) is accepting public housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.The NBHA offers ten public housing communities with 1,748 units for families and senior/disabled individuals.There are two ways to apply:1. Visit the NBHA to fill out an application in person, located at 134 South Second St., New Bedford, MA 02740, between thesaurus of 8:30 am and 3:00 pm Monday-Wednesday.2. Download the application here, then print and complete.Once the downloaded application has been completed, it can be mailed to the address listed above.Be sure to include copies of these documents with your application: proof of all income, birth certificates, social security cards, proof of current living situation.The NBHA does have a preference for veterans.More information can be found by visiting the NBHA website at http://newbedfordhousingauthority.org/, or by calling 508-997-4800 during normal office hours.
