The Lackawanna Housing Authority is currently accepting public housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.This housing authority offers, two family communities, and one senior/disabled community, located throughout Lackawanna.There are two ways to obtain an application:1. Request to have an application mailed to you by calling 716-823-2551, during normal office hours.2. Stop by the housing authority office to pick up an application, located at 135 Odell St., Lackawanna, NY 14218, during normal office hours.Once the application has been completed it can be mailed or hand delivered to the address listed above. Be sure to include copies of these items with your application: copy of police report in the county you reside, birth certificates, social security cards, proof of income, proof of assets, and photo IDs for all adult household members.This housing authority does have a preference point system that may improve your spot on the waiting list, as being: living/working in Lackawanna, elderly, or disabled.For more information the housing authority can be reached by calling 716-823-2551, during normal office hours.
