The Port Jervis Community Development Agency (PJCDA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. Applications were last accepted from January 19, 2021 until January 26, 2021. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

There were two ways to apply during the opening period:

  1. Print the online paper application.
  2. Pick up an application from the PJCDA.

Once the application was completed, it was postmarked between Tuesday, January 19, 2021 through Tuesday, January 26, 2021 and mailed to PJCDA.

The maximum income limits for each household size were as follows:

  • 1 Person $35,850 | 5 persons $55,250
  • 2 Persons $40,950 | 6 Persons $59,350
  • 3 Persons $46,050 | 7 Persons $63,450
  • 4 Persons $51,150 | 8 Persons $67,550

This waiting list had the following preferences:

  • A preference for those with family members who are between the ages of 18 and 61 who have disabilities, and are experiencing housing instability
  • A local preference for those applicants that live or work in the City of Port Jervis
  • Domestic Violence Victims

It was not known how applicants will be placed on the waiting list.
