If there is no information online, contact the housing authority directly. Due to a high volume of calls and modified office hours in most areas, it may take days or weeks to get a response.

How To Apply to the Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

The Community Action Center (CAC) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open, since at least September, 2018, until further notice.

Please note: The CAC wants applicants to be aware that residents currently living outside of its service area must live in one of the following counties in their first year of using their voucher: Whitman, Spokane, Lincoln, Pend Oreille, Stevens, or Ferry County.

There are two ways to apply:

  1. Open and print the application online here.
  2. Pick up an application at the CAC office, located at 350 South East Fairmont Road, Pullman, Washington, 99163, from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm PT.

Once the paper application has been completed, it must be:

  1. Mailed to the CAC at the address above.
  2. Dropped off at CAC at the address above, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm PT, Monday through Friday.
  3. Faxed to (509) 334-9105.

This waiting list has the following preferences: Elderly, Disabled, Families with Dependent Children.

Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, by order of preferences.
