The Lodges on Lincoln is a brand new 56-unit multi-family apartment complex in Selma, Alabama. The complex is situated on approximately nine acres located on Lincoln Drive north of US Hwy 80 in Selma. This has a spacious community building with a computer center and exercise/fitness center available at no charge to residents. In addition, the community has a number of other amenities tenants can enjoy outdoor areas such as a covered picnic pavilion, BBQ facilities, a laundry facility, mail center, covered bus stop shelter, and playground.
Energy efficiency and low maintenance was a priority in the comfortable design and construction of the apartment complex. The Lodges on Lincoln is comprised of 2- and 3-bedroom units ranging from 1053 square feet to 1230 square feet. Each unit includes appliances that are Energy Star rated and approved for their efficiency. This community is easily accessible to local services and a wide variety of retail, restaurants and other services. Grocery, hospital, pharmacy, convenience stores, churches, banking, city parks, library, civic center, and other services are all just a short distance away. The community is located in the Dallas County School District and just a couple of miles from Selma High School.
Because Lodges on Lincoln participates in HUD's HOME program for rental housing and the LIHTC program, at least some of the units in this property are set aside for households earning 60% or less of the AMI and rents are capped at the local FMR and in many cases much lower. For a HOME project of this size, some of the units are set aside for households at or below 50% AMI with a corresponding lower rent cap. As this property appears not to have a project-based subsidy or any other Federal assistance, you likely will have to pay your own rent, albeit, at a lower rent amount thanks to the HOME and LIHTC programs.
