Cascade Garden, Low Income Housing Tax Credit Waiting List

The Rock Island Housing Authority (RIHA) last accepted Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) waiting list applications for 1 and 3-Bedroom apartments at Cascade Garden from May 28, 2024, until July 26, 2024. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

Displaced from an urban renewal area
Displaced by a disaster, such as a fire or flood that resulted in extensive damage or has destroyed the unit.
Displaced by an activity carried on by an agency of the United States or by any State or local government body or agency
A family which has at least one member that is disabled.
A family that has at least one member that has been a victim of domestic violence.
A family that has at least one member that is working a minimum of 20-hours per week.

It was not known how applicants were placed on the waiting list.

Lovely Apartments in a Park-Like Setting
Cascade Garden is a beautifully designed neighborhood with three buildings on 9.5 acres of landscaped grounds situated between 5th Street and 9th Street in Rock Island, Illinois. The main building includes thirty-three one bedroom apartments, a spacious lobby, a community room with a full kitchen, laundry room, library, and computer lab with internet access. The two remaining buildings feature a mix of two and three bedroom townhomes or apartments with private front-door entrances. All homes include either a patio or balcony with an open floor plan. All kitchens include stove and refrigerators. Some apartments have dishwashers and washer and dryers or washer/dryer hook-up. Many apartments are ADA accessible with wheelchair access, ramps, wider doorways, lower cabinets, and roll-in showers. All units include gas, heat, and water as well as central air. Electric is not included. This property features high-quality housing, accessibility and comfortability. Cascade Garden requires a security deposit and is pet friendly.

Cascade Garden has one, two and three bedroom units that can house one to six persons. Many units are ADA accessible and some can be adapted to accommodate people with disabilities as needed.
