One of the essential needs to sustain recovery is safe, affordable housing. Supportive Housing at Casa Esperanza, Inc. provides a safe and sober living environment  focused on sustaining recovery and on developing independent living skills. Casa Esperanza has 37 residential units for individuals and families in recovery equipped with ample space, remodeled kitchens, and upgraded bathrooms that provide a comfortable, safe, and recovery-oriented home. 

Admissions Requirements:

To be eligible for supportive housing residency at Casa Esperanza, applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Provide written documentation that your name is on the Boston Housing Authority’s waiting list for a Section 8 voucher.
2. Be an adult, 18 years or older, with or without children.
3. Have successfully completed at least six months at a state-licensed residential substance abuse treatment program.
4. Be drug and alcohol-free for the past six months.
5. Be in need of ongoing supportive services in maintaining sobriety; family unification and stabilization; and achieving economic self-sufficiency.
