The building is a high rise, elevator-equipped apartment building located at 50 Pleasant Street. The Manager's office is located on the first floor.
Brookline Housing Authority has partnered with Springwell, our regional social service agency, to bring the CareConnection Program to the Sussman House . The CareConnections Program offers an on-site care coordinator to assist residents with services as needed so that they may remain independent in their homes. The care coordinator's office is located on the first floor.
Since this property is owned and managed by a Public Housing Authority, all of the rents at this property are based on tenant incomes. Tenants will make a monthly contribution toward rent equal to 30% of their adjusted income. A housing authority may establish a minimum rent of up to $50.
Since this property was built or renovated using funding from HUD's Section 202 or 811 programs, residency is usually restricted to households earning 50% of the Area Median Income (AMI) or less with at least one member either disabled or 62 years or older.
