Sequoia Crossings, 1 and 2-Bedroom Waiting List

The Salem Housing Authority (SHA) last accepted Section 8 Project Based Voucher waiting list applications for 1 and 2-Bedroom apartments at Sequoia Crossings from August 19, 2023, until September 4, 2023.

Please note: According to the SHA public notice " The waiting list for Sequoia Crossings offers a preference for homeless individuals and families who are referred to SHA through the Coordinated Entry System. If you are currently experiencing homelessness, contact a Coordinated Entry Site with the Mid-Willamette Homeless Alliance. Sites include ARCHES in Salem, and others. A list of sites is available online at https://mwvhomelessalliance.org/wpcontent/uploads/2023/04/CE-Assessment-Sites-4.5.23.pdf."

To apply while the waitlist was open, applicants were required to complete the online application.

The maximum income limits for each household size were as followed:

1 Person $29,300 | 5 Persons $45,200
2 Persons $33,500 | 6 Persons $48,550
3 Persons $37,700 | 7 Person $51,900
4 Persons $41,850 | 8 Persons $55,250

This waiting list had the following preferences:

Homeless individuals and families who are referred to SHA through the Coordinated Entry System.

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.

Sequoia Crossings is located at 3112 Broadway St NE, Sequoia Crossings will consist of 54 one-bedroom units and 6 two-bedroom units. Permanent supportive housing services will be offered, with preference given to people who are experiencing homelessness.

Construction of Sequoia Crossings has begun. Current estimated opening date is 2024.
