Rowan Homes Diamond is a clean-and-sober, permanent supportive housing residence for larger families (up to eight people), providing eight four-bedroom apartments. Accessible units are available. 

Residents are offered on-site case management and school coordination for children. On-site family counseling is offered in partnership with the Council for Relationships. Residents are offered service coordination, personal recovery services, health care, education, social enterprise and employment opportunities. 

Residents are encouraged to participate in recovery-oriented activities that lead to personal growth, well-being and self-sufficiency.

Program Eligibility:

  • Documented current homelessness
  • Documented current disability of serious mental illness
  • Head of household must be over age 18
  • Must be a family with up to 6 children; unit size determines occupancy restrictions
  • Demonstrated the ability to live independently, including monitoring medications; managing finances; cooking and cleaning; managing transportation; and other independent living skills
  • Committed to recovery:
    • Willingness to live a clean and sober lifestyle
    • Submission to random drug tests
    • Engagement with appropriate supports (TCM services, OP/IOP programs, NA/AA, Peer Services)

HOME Investment Partnerships Program

This project has received some funding from a participating jurisdiction (local or state government agency) through the HUD HOME Investments Partnerships Program (HOME). In projects with five or more HOME-assisted units, at least 20% of these units must be occupied by families earning 50% or less of area median income (AMI). All other HOME-assisted units must be occupied by families earning 80% or less of AMI, but in practice most are reserved for families earning 60% or less AMI. Maximum monthly rent is capped with a Low HOME Rent for <50% AMI units and a High HOME Rent for the remaining HOME-assisted units.
