The Cloquet/Carlton Housing and Redevelopment Authority (CCHRA) Bridges Rental Assistance Program waiting list is currently closed. Applications were last accepted on August 1, 2019. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

Please note: According to the CCHRA, "The Bridges Rental Assistance Program provides housing assistance for people with low income and a serious mental illness while they wait for a Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8)."

This waiting list had the following preferences:

  1. Persons residing in an institution or other segregated setting who will be homeless upon discharge.
  2. Persons experiencing homelessness for one year or more, or multiple times in the last 3 years.
  3. Persons experiencing or at imminent risk of homelessness.
  4. Resident of Carlton County.
  5. Veteran.
  6. Violence Against Women Act (VAWA).
  7. Date and Time of Application.

Applicants were placed on the waiting list by preference points.

Bridges Rental Assistance Program Project-Based Applicant Preferences

Bridges Rental Assistance Program has preferences for: Victims of Domestic Violence, Live, Work, or Attend School Locally, Veterans, Homeless, Living in Or at Risk of Institutionalization. Preferences are not required but Project-Based applicants that meet these criteria will be moved up the waiting list.

Carlton Housing and Redevelopment Authority provides affordable housing for up to 19 low- and moderate-income households through its Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher programs.
