This waiting list is for Other Project Based rental housing assistance in City of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County, Virginia.
The Harrisonburg Redevelopment and Housing Authority (HRHA) Homeless Supportive Housing waiting list for apartments at Commerce Village is closed.
The HRHA last accepted applications for this waiting list until December 1, 2021. The HRHA said "We anticipate that the new client portal will be available March 1, 2022 and we will start accepting new applications at that time."
Please note: According to the HRHA, this community is "designated as permanent supportive housing for chronically homeless and medically vulnerable individuals."
To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.
This waiting list may have had any of the following preferences: Live or work in Harrisonburg or Rockingham County; Working a minimum of 20 hours per week; Paying over 50% of gross income for rent and utilities; Disabled/handicapped or elderly; Homeless; Veteran; Displaced from home as a result of fire or natural disaster; Living in substandard home; Victim of physical abuse; Living in overcrowded conditions; Full-time college student, attending GED classes, or a job training program; Working with a human services agency; Medically vulnerable, as documented by medical records and VIDAT.
It was not known how applicants will be placed on the waiting list.
