The Yakima Housing Authority (YHA) waiting list for Elderly/Disabled Housing apartments is currently open. Applications are being accepted since at least December, 2018, until further notice.
There are two ways to apply during the opening period:

Elderly/Disabled Housing has preferences for: Preferences Unconfirmed. Preferences are not required but Senior and Disabled applicants that meet these criteria will be moved up the waiting list.
Elderly/Disabled Housing Senior and Disabled Waiting List is managed by Yakima Housing Authority.
Yakima Housing Authority provides affordable housing for up to 1,032 low- and moderate-income households through its public housing programs.

Search local listings for available Section 8 apartments.
Apartments and homes listed for rent locally may accept a Section 8 voucher, even if the listing doesn't mention the program.Sandra Lewis-Kidd says:
