The Central Iowa Regional Housing Authority (CIRHA) Public Housing waiting list is currently open, since at least February 8, 2019, until further notice. 

Please note: The CIRHA offers has Public Housing units in the cities of Boone and Madrid in Boone County; Perry and Redfield in Dallas County; Colfax and Newton in Jasper County; and Melcher-Dallas in Marion County.

There are two ways to apply:

  1. Download and print the application the application online. Select the "Preliminary Application" link.
  2. Pick up an application at the CIRHA office located at 1201 SE Gateway Drive, Grimes, Iowa 50111, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm CT. 

Once the paper application has been completed, it must be:

  1. Mailed to the CIRHA office located at 1201 SE Gateway Drive, Grimes, Iowa, 50111. 
  2. Dropped off at the address above, on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

This waiting list has no preferences.

Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received.
