The Flint Area Consolidated Housing Authority (FACHA) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.The FACHA offers four Public Housing communities with 347 units for families and senior/disabled individuals.There are two ways to apply:1. Please note: You will still need to visit the FACHA to pick up a consent form for credit check and the consent form for background check, for every adult member in the household.2. Flint Area Consolidated has preferences for: Displaced by Natural Disaster, Victims of Domestic Violence, Live, Work, or Attend School Locally, Homeless, Displaced by Government Action, Live in Substandard Housing. Preferences are not required but Public Housing applicants that meet these criteria will be moved up the waiting list.

The following data describes the economic and demographic characteristics of renters who live in Public Housing units provided by Flint Area Consolidated.
At the start of 2024, Flint Area Consolidated was managing 345 Public Housing units. Of the total number of units managed, there were 311 units occupied. This represents 90% of the total number of Public Housing units managed by Flint Area Consolidated.
