The Flint Area Consolidated Housing Authority (FACHA) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.The FACHA offers four Public Housing communities with 347 units for families and senior/disabled individuals.There are two ways to apply:1. Download an application here, then print and complete. Please note: You will still need to visit the FACHA to pick up a consent form for credit check and the consent form for background check, for every adult member in the household.2. Visit the FACHA to pick up an application, located at 542 Richardson Street, Montezuma, GA 31063, between the hours of 8:00 am until 4:30 pm, Monday-Thursday.Once the application has been completed, it can be hand delivered to the address listed above.Be sure to include these documents with your application: birth certificates, last years tax return, divorce decree or marriage license if applicable, social security cards, photo IDs for all adult household members, and proof of all income.The FACHA does have a preference point system that may improve your spot on the waiting list: substandard living conditions, displaced by flood/fire, displaced by housing owner, without or about to be without housing, displaced by government body, displaced by actual threats of violence.More information can be found by visiting the FACHA website at http://flintareahousingauthority.org, or by calling 478-472-8209, between the hours of 8:00 am until 4:30 pm, Monday-Thursday.
