For our first alert of the week, Affordable Housing Online has five waiting list updates for Public Housing and Project-Based Vouchers! Today's programs are for low-income housing in the Midwest, Northeast, and West Coast.
This is your affordable housing waiting list alert for Monday, June 17, 2024:
Opens Today: Des Moines, Iowa Public Housing Waiting List
The Des Moines Municipal Housing Agency will accept Public Housing waiting list applications for 2, 3, 4 and 5-Bedroom Apartments from June 17, 2024 at 8:00 am, until August 17, 2024 at 5:00 pm CT.
This waiting list has three preferences, and selection will be done by date and time the application is received. So even though the waiting list is open for two months, it's beneficial to apply early.
To get an application for this waiting list, you can pick one up, print one out, or call the office.

Opens Today: Milton, New York Senior Project-Based Voucher Waiting List
The Rural Ulster Preservation Company (RUPCO) is accepting Senior Section 8 Project Based Voucher waiting list applications for 1-Bedroom Apartments at Milton Harvest from June 17, 2024, until further notice.
Applicants for this waiting list must be 62 or older, and a one or two-person household to qualify.

Closes Today: Novato, California Senior Project-Based Voucher Waiting List
The Marin Housing Authority (MHA) is accepting Senior Section 8 Project-Based Voucher waiting list applications for 1-Bedroom apartments at Warner Creek Senior Housing from June 3, 2024 at 10:00 am, until June 17, 2024 at 11:59 pm PT.
The minimum age requirement for this waiting list is 62, and applications can be completed or printed out online.

Opens Soon: Riverdale, Illinois Senior Low-Income Housing Waiting Lists
The Housing Authority of Cook County (HACC) will accept Senior waiting list applications for 2-Bedroom apartments at Riverdale Apartments from July 1, 2024 at 10:00 am, until July 15, 2024 at 10:00 am CT.
There are two different waiting lists for this opening — one for Public Housing, and one for Project-Based Voucher apartments. Both are for 2-Bedroom apartments at Riverdale Apartments.
