The New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher statewide waiting list is opening for a limited time in January.
This waiting list is for low-income rental assistance in all cities and counties in the State of New Jersey.
Applications will be available online only, beginning on January 17, 2023 at 9:00 am ET. The online application portal will be open for more than two weeks, and will close on February 3, 2023 at 5:00 pm.
The DCA last accepted applications for this waiting list in February, 2019.

The Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list for select counties opens in January for one day only.
This waiting list is for low-income rental assistance in Cannon, Cheatham, Fayette, Montgomery, Robertson, Sumner, Tipton, Trousdale and Wilson County, Tennessee.
Applications for this waiting list will be available online, starting at 6:00 am CT on Wednesday, January 18, 2023. The waiting list will then close at 11:59 pm on the same day.
The Philadelphia Housing Authority (PHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list opened in January for the first time in 13 years.
The PHA accepted applications for this waiting list online, beginning on January 23, 2023 at 6:00 am ET.
The online application will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week; until it closed on February 5, 2023 at 5:59 pm.
The St. Petersburg Housing Authority (SPHA) Public Housing waiting list for 1 and 2-Bedroom apartments opened today, Monday, January 9th.
Thwas opening is for apartments at Clearview Park, Disston Place, Gateway Place, Romayne Apartments, and Sunset Oaks, a 62+ community.
The waiting list will stay open until Thursday, January 12, 2023.
After the waiting list closed, the SPHA will place selected applicants on the waiting list by random lottery selection.
You can still apply to online applications without internet access.
