The Lehigh County Housing Authority (LCHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. It was last open for two months from June 2016 until August 2016, and before that in May 2011. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.
There were three ways to apply during the opening period:
Once the application was completed, it must have been dropped off to the Application and Waiting List Office, or mailed.
This waiting list has the following preferences: Displaced by government action; veteran living in units designated affordable paying more than 30% of income towards rent; live, work or attend school in Lehigh County, excluding Allentown and Bethlehem.
Applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application was received, by order of preferences.
Applicants will be notified of their placement by mail.
