Dana Strand Senior Apartments is a new construction affordable senior apartment community located in Los Angeles, California. This three-story development provides 100 affordable senior apartments. Dana Strand is of southern California Spanish design, remaining consistent with many of the surrounding neighborhood residences and will afford easy access to highways 110 and 710.
Dana Strand represents an environmentally-friendly development, constructed using sustainable building methods and incorporates a number of green features designed to ensure its long-term energy-efficiency and sustainability. To this end, Dana Strand has achieved USBC LEED-H Gold certification.
Because Dana Strand Senior Apartments participates in HUD's HOME program for rental housing and the LIHTC program, at least some of the units in this property are set aside for households earning 60% or less of the AMI and rents are capped at the local FMR and in many cases much lower. For a HOME project of this size, some of the units are set aside for households at or below 50% AMI with a corresponding lower rent cap.
